Hi there, im Pamela . I need legal advice. My dad came into South Africa when he was really young (around 16). A few years later he was arrested for being an illegal immigrant. He was later released. Now yearsss later (2017), he passed away (he was 50), we can’t get a proper original death certificate because he was an illegal immigrant. What is the way forward now because everything is in his name (title deed of the house etc). We cant even get a letter of authority over the house because on the system at Home affairs he is still alive and we dont have a death certificate. Is there some thing that we can do to get his death certificate because without it, our lives are also on hold. He has 4 children, all born and bred here in south africa. Also it appeared that his ID was a duplicate. Thank you for your help

My name is Majara Mojela, christened Good. I was born in Merafong City (formerly Carletonville) in the West Rand. Upon my return from my studies in the U. S. A. I learnt with dismay that my South African citizenship has been revoked. Currently I am a lecturer at the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology in Lesotho.

Suffice to mention that this debacle has negatively impacted on my daughtets’ welfare, especially the younger one who has just received her Matric results and needs an ID document to further her studies.

I have been given endless interviews by Home Affairs where I have now lost all hope of ever getting a positive resolution to the matter at hand.

I would therefore, like to take legal action against Home Affairs for the restoration of my citizenship and thence request your opinion on the matter.

I am reachable at +26663503820 or via email at majara_mojela@yahoo.co.uk

I hope my case holds water.

Hello,

I was abused by my fiance (now ex). He broke my leg – I have been to the hospital. I do not want to open a criminal case against him and destroy his livelihood but I would like to know what my other options are?

For example, if I got a protection order or restraining order would that impact him in any way other than keeping him away from me? We were planning to immigrate and my hope now is that if I can get a protection order of sorts it would show on his background check and make it difficult for him to immigrate or work in another country. Is there anything I can do in this regard other than ruining his career in SA?

Thank you!
